Lifter Bore Grooving Kit w/ .842" and .875" Tools

The COMP lifter bore grooving tool cuts a groove into the lifter bore which ensures pressurized oil is fed between the lifter and camshaft. Developed by NASCAR engine builders, this tool reduces camshaft and lifter wear.

Developed by one of the top NASCAR engine builders, this innovative tool precisely grooves the lifter bore to ensure the pressure fed oil is directly injected into the contact area between lifter and Camshaft. This increased oiling significantly reduces wear on the Camshaft and lifters and decreases the risk of premature failure during break-in. This machine operations to the block is quick, easy, inexpensive and is the best insurance for a new Cam Complete with grooving tool, cutter and handle Carbide cutter available separately Engine must be disassembled to use this tool - cuts groove from .009" to .012".
